This study represents an analysis of a significant contribution to industrial development using the example of the construction of the Shirokovskaya HPP (hydroelectric power station) during the Great Patriotic War.Located on the Irtysh River in Siberia, the Shirokovskaya hydroelectric power station was one of the largest infrastructure projects implemented during the Machines war and had a significant impact on the development of industry and energy in the Soviet Union.To conduct the study, methods of historical analysis, interviews, comparative analysis, statistical data analysis and literature review were used.
